How To Replace A Water Pump?

Hi there...

I am trying to get instructions on how to replace the water pump on my AHU engine...

I am assuming that I have to do the following..

(1) Remove Power Steering Pump

(2) Remove Water Pump

 

But is there anyone out there who has done this, and can give some assistance here on exactly what the steps are to do this correctly...

 

I saw on an american TDI website that there's alot of faffing about with cam lockers and fuel pump lockers... do I need to get these tools to change the water pump??

Pfft...... I thought people were meant to help eachother here....

Well, after alot of searching, I found a site... Yet another american one, but this one explains how to remove the pump and re-install it with and without removing the timing belt....

Yes it says passat and jetta, but the engine is the same, the Volkswagen AHU unit...

Not everyone reads all mails every day - and not ev eryone is confident that they can answer all questions. I'm sorry that yours wasn't answered. I suggest you firstly check the FAQ's you might find an answer there or you could try and obtain a copy of the Ford TIS which is a workshop manula on CD.
